Quinta do Popa's Vintage Port is drier style of port and a tribute to both the history of the area and one of the ancestors of the family who had the dream of creating a vineyard in this gorgeous part of the world.
You'll find this port a deep red colour with aromas of dark fruits. The palate is elegant and full-bodied with a good balance between tannins and acidity. You'll find it is in a drier style that traditional ports and this "charismatic Port" allows you to enjoy the many layers before its long finish.
After harvesting, 50% of the grapes were traditionally crushed by foot in open tanks called "lagares" whilst the rest were vinified in stainless steel tanks.
