Nicolis is one of the few wineries to make a simple Valpolicella. Classico is a name for wines that are made in the historic area of production which for Valpolicella is located to the west of the city of Verona.
Valpolicella is made mainly from the corvina grape, a variety that is light in colour and tannin but high in acidity and bursts with cherry flavours. We love this Valpolicella Classico paired with pasta dishes, pizza and even sushi - especially when it has something spicy or fried in it and the wine is slightly chilled.
