Medici Ermete's Concerto was the first Lambrusco DOP to be awarded the coveted Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso after Alberto Medici, Alessandro's Father, took a different look at how this once cheap and sweet drink could be made. He changed how things were done in the vineyards, started reducing yields, identifying cru and applying a "quality wine making " approach to one of the most productive grapes there is.
We love Lambrusco... And we really love how when people who haven't had it for a long time (or indeed ever!) go "wow! That's lambrusco?". Yes, it really is the ultimate "everyday" wine. It's like a great friend - relaxed, chilled, easy to get on with. It'll pair perfectly with pizza, pasta, deli meats and cheeses, any casual occasion.
