WOW... Nicoli's Ambrosan Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG will knock your socks off. In a good way of course.
Amarone is the Valpolicella's king, it is made from grapes that are left to dry for a couple of months meaning that by the time they are pressed, they're brimming with polyphenols and sugar. This can mean super heavy wines which make finishing a bottle touch but Nicolis' Ambrosan is definitely an exception to this. Beautifully balanced, Ambrosan is a fine example of a perfectly integrated wine, nothing is out of place, the flavour, the alcohol, it's a perfectly, woven harmony... You might have realised, we are crazy about this Amarone...
If you have a special occasion, feeling a little decadent, need a wine to impress or just want to treat yourself, this is THE WINE....
If you want something with a little less oak but still the elegance that we love in all the Nicolis wines, then have a look at their traditional Amarone.
